This maybe bothersome, but I moved back to my original domain.
Thank you!

Laie is a small town far from the hustles and bustles of the city. Though it is a usual hangout for nature lovers since it boasts of its splendor and hiking trails, it lacks commercialized establishments such as movie theaters, and a mall where you could shop. I live here in Laie and it is a pretty nice place. But once in a while, you just have to go to town to experience what our town lacks.
For people without their own car, The BUS is the main means of transportation here in Oahu
. It is comparable to the jeepneys of Manila. Since the nearest town is approximately 45 minutes away, you might as well do something productive while on the way. Here are some suggestions that I’ve come up with, inspired by people I see on the bus.
Bring a book and read.
This is one of my favorite hobbies while riding the bus. I got to finish Pride and Prejudice and The Street Lawyer while on the bus.
Downside : Some people cannot read in a moving vehicle
Listen to some music.
This is for all music aficionados who can just spend the whole day singing to the tune of their favorite bands or artists.
Downside : As courtesy to other passengers, you can’t make it too loud or even sing out loud.
Watch movies from your ipod. This is your chance to rewatch your favorite movies of all time. The farther your destination is, the better because you can finish the movie at just one sitting.
Downside : Don’t watch something that will make you laugh out loud or would make you scream with fright because it will disturb others.
Continue advancing at your game levels with your PSP or Gameboy or DS Lite. This will get you so hooked up that you won’t even notice you are there.
Downside : Don’t get so hooked up with the game that you fail to notice you’ve already reached your destination and went pass it.
Play a tourist for the day and get your films rolling.
Appreciate the glorious surroundings and take pictures of the breath-taking sceneries. This might help you rediscover the photographer in you.
Downside : The bus zooms by and you have to be quick or else you miss the view.
Bring a friend and catch up with the latest stories and gossips. This is a favorite of the high school students who just talk about a lot of different things, though noticeably more about the who’s-dating-who
Downside : You can’t be too loud or you’ll get reprimanded by the bus driver. Plus, you have to be careful because there might be some people who knows those you are talking about.
Don’t have any of the things you need to do any of the above suggestions? I can give you a good one. SLEEP!.
Downside: You won’t be aware you missed your stop.
Hopefully my bus rides would be fun and enjoyable this time.
First off, thanks for all the suggestions you gave. Unfortunately, I’ve watched those movies
. I’m still in the hunt for scary movies but I still enjoy other movies.
Last Friday, my friends and I watched Confessions of a Shopaholic, a chick flick, but there were lessons learned. Do not shop too much!. Just kidding
.
I just want to share one of the *kilig* moments from the movie.
Rebecca : I thought she was your girlfriend [referring to Alicia]
Luke : No, she’s not my girlfriend. She’s not you.
Ok, sorry for becoming overly cheesy with those lines in there. If I hear those from a guy I really like, I would have died right then and there.
So much for that movie. Since you have shared some of the horror movies you enjoyed, it is now my turn to share mine.
1. Shutter (Thai)
2. The Coffin (Thai)
3. Reincarnation (Korean)
4. The Red Shoes (Korean)
5. Arang (Korean)
6. The Doll Master
7. P2 (suspense/thriller)
8. Sick Nurses (Thai)
Enjoy the movies! I might make a page where I would compile a list of my recommended movies, not just horror ones. Time to bloghop.
Another Valentines Day has ended. To those of you who don’t know, I am in a long-distance relationship so I wasn’t able to spend the day with my boyfriend.
It sucks but there is no reason to bawl over something that won’t be possible. Despite the distance, he was able to make up for it by sending a small surprise through mail.
There were two cards, both with long hand-written letters. I was really touched!
I just gave him a call and we chatted for some time.
To celebrate Valentines day, I went with my friends to Waikiki. All we wanted to do was hang out, eat and watch a movie. After the long bus ride, we reached our first stop which is Cheesecake Factory to eat. The servings were so big that all of us just finished it halfway.
When we went out, oh boy! The line was super long! Good thing we came there earlier.
We finished the day by watching the movie Friday the 13th in Ward 16 theater. As usual, Jason’s way of killing was merciless and brutal. However, the sex scenes were … too much
. The storyline of this movie, the same as House of Wax or My Bloody Valentine, was about a group of teens or overly obscene youth who wanted to drink, party and have sex, but ends up meeting a serial killer. Now it’s becoming predictable.
Oh well.
I’ve been watching a lot of movies recently but usually drawn to horror or suspense/thriller genre. I’m looking for something that would really scare me or leave an impression, but I’m disappointed with the ones I’ve seen.
Can anybody recommend a horror or suspense/thriller movie that you thought was really scary? Thanks a lot! Very much appreciated if you do
Oh by the way, to those who wants me to add their links on my blogroll, please tell me so I can add you up. =)
I’ve been itching to have a new domain after I’ve neglected my Ecstatic Soul blog. I guess I needed change so I decided to register a new domain for free and have it hosted for free as well.
I guess it justifies me being a poor student.
Unfortunately, I have to depend much on premade themes for now till my laptop becomes fixed. I only have access to school computers now, and since they don’t have software such as Photoshop, I won’t be able to create something that’s decent to show.
So I would like to thank Tiniwini for the lovely theme. I also haven’t been able to update pages, now that I have to start from scratch. I’ll start doodling and updating on my day-off.
Oh, I have a tale to tell. Guess who I saw today? David Archuleta!
. He went over to PCC (where I work) for a vacation, well.. I guess. He was with his family and one of my lucky Filipino friend was his tour guide for the day. I was working that time so I wasn’t able to get decent pictures. Para akong singit all throughout, tumakas pa kasi ako sa work[I looked like an extra in the pictures coz I just escaped from work to see him.]
Poor guy.
I bet he got tired smiling because people began bombarding him with pictures since he came. He wasn’t even able to eat properly because everybody just wanted to take a shot with him. Feeling close much?.
By the way dear friends, would you be so kind to add me up in plurk? CLICK HERE TO ADD ME UP!. I’d love to see and make comments to your updates. Thanks!
I’m accepting link exchanges at the moment. Just let me know if you are interested and I’ll add you up! Hopefully, this blog would be able to run normally just like everybody else’s.
